District of Columbia
DC Council
The DC Council will not have a Legislative meeting this week. However, this week, there will be a series of performance oversight hearings covering various committees, including Health, Executive Administration & Labor, Recreation, Libraries & Youth Affairs, Business & Economic Development, Judiciary & Public Safety, and Housing. These hearings will assess the performance and activities within these areas of the DC government.
DC State Board of Education
The DC State Board of Education will not have a public meeting this week.
Maryland
Maryland General Assembly:
The Maryland House of Delegates and the Maryland Senate are in session.

Charles County
Board of Charles County Commissioners
Tomorrow at 9am, the Board of Charles County Commissioners will hold a session, which includes both virtual and limited in-person participation. There will be a presentation on the 2024 Maryland General Assembly Session, providing insights into legislative matters. The Commission will also discuss a proposed Code of Ethics update (Bill 2024-02) and a Zoning Text Amendment related to Transit Oriented Development Zone (Bill 2024-03), as well as an update on the Resilience Authority of Charles County Activities.

The Charles County Board of Education will not hold a public meeting of the full Board this week.

Montgomery County
Montgomery County Council
The Montgomery County Council will hold its regular meeting tomorrow at 9:30 am.
During the session, there will be several interviews for the Advisory Commission on Policing and various public hearings. The day's agenda includes three separate interview sessions for the Advisory Commission on Policing. The first panel is scheduled for 9:35 a.m., followed by the second at 10:35 a.m., and the third at 2:00 p.m., each accompanied by a staff report.
In addition to these interviews, the Council will host several public hearings in the afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m. These include discussions on the Spending Affordability Guidelines for the FY25 Operating Budget, various special appropriations to the FY24 Operating Budget for departments like Health and Human Services and Transportation, amendments to the FY23-28 Capital Improvements Program, and supplemental appropriations for various county services and initiatives.
Montgomery County Board of Education
The Montgomery County Board of Education will not hold a business meeting this week. However, the Board will hold an Operating Budget Work Session tomorrow at 10 am.

Prince George's County
Prince George's County Council
The Prince George's County Council will meet tomorrow at 11 am. Key items on the agenda include a resolution (CR-003-2024) concerning the correction of the 2023 Urban Street Design Standards. This involves amending specifications and standards for highway and street construction of the Department of Public Works and Transportation, correcting an error in a previous resolution, and establishing retroactive effective dates. There are also several proposed letters addressing different topics: One to Michael A. Jackson and Nicole Williams regarding the position of the Prince George's County Council on proposed state legislation, another to Alex Donahue of The Maryland Interagency Commission on School Construction responding to concerns raised in a previous communication, a letter of support to Judy Mickens-Murray regarding a Financial Review and Transfer Request for FY 23, and a letter to County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks transmitting the Council's Legislative Calendar and Appointments Schedule for 2024.
Additionally, the agenda includes briefings on various topics. The first briefing involves the Management Advisory Project Charge Program, with presentations by Renee M. Kenney of the Office of the Inspector General and Donna Herring of the Department of Parks and Recreation. The second briefing focuses on Juvenile Services/Youth Delinquency, featuring contributions from multiple departments and agencies including the State's Attorney's Office, Police Department, Prince George’s County Public Schools, Maryland Department of Juvenile Services, and the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning - Parks & Recreation.1:30 pm.
Prince George's County Board of Education
The Prince George's County Board of Education will not have a full Board meeting this week. However, on On February 1st, the Board of Education (BOE) will hold a series of virtual meetings. They will have a Special Executive Session at 4:15 pm, followed by an FY2025 Budget Work Session at 5:00 pm, and conclude with an FY2025 Budget Public Hearing at 7:30 pm, all conducted via Zoom. These meetings will focus on discussing and planning the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, with the public hearing providing an opportunity for community input and engagement.

Fairfax County School Board
The Fairfax County School Board will not hold a public meeting of the full Board this week. There will, however, be a School Board Work Session meeting tomorrow at 10:30 am. During the meeting, the Board will have a discussion of the School Board Advisory Committee's reforms and the new draft Operating Manual.
